Lex: Only 50 years left

Only 50 years left. I always keep one eye on that clock because if anything makes me despair, it’s the mountain of unread books that will sit on top of my grave. It’s always chafed me to have just two feet for traveling, just one pen for writing and most importantly, only two eyes for reading.
With the gifts and breaks, I’ve been given, I’m beholden to do the Work, to spread the help. I’ve no time to rest on my laurels because I’m lucky enough to be like a gambler dealt two pair. & now I have to hump ******** – keep my nose affixed to the grindstone – to pull that full house, to leave behind this world a little nicer than I found it.
